英語面接の最後によく聞かれる質問の一つが、

〇 Is there anything else you’d like us to know?

「最後に何か伝えておきたいことはありますか？」

という質問です。

面接も終盤なので、

「もう全部話したから、Nothing else. でいい？」

「新しい実績を話した方がいい？」

「最後にもう一度自己PRをするべき？」

と迷う方も多いと思います。

この質問は、必ず新しい情報を追加しなければならない質問ではありません。

むしろ大切なのは、

面接を振り返り、自分について最後に覚えてほしいポイントを短く伝えること。

この質問は面接の最後に聞かれることが多いため、長いエピソードを追加する必要はありません。

NG①「特にありません」で終わる

No, nothing else.

間違いではありませんが、最後のアピール機会をそのまま終わらせてしまいます。

例えば、

I think we’ve covered the key points. I’d just emphasize that I’m very interested in the role and believe my experience would allow me to contribute quickly.

とすれば、自然に締められます。

NG② 自己紹介をもう一度始める

Yes. Let me tell you again about my background…

面接官はすでにあなたの経歴を聞いています。

最後は、経歴全体ではなく、最も重要な一点に絞りましょう。

NG③ 突然、新しい長いエピソードを話す

Actually, there’s another project I haven’t mentioned yet…

本当に重要な情報であれば問題ありません。

ただし、面接終了間際に数分の新しいエピソードを始めると、回答が長くなりすぎる可能性があります。

基本は、

と思ってしまう方がいます。

でも、無理に新しい話を探す必要はありません。

面接官として私が知りたいのは、

「今日の面接で、この人について何を一番覚えておけばよいのか？」

です。

例えば、

〇 I’d emphasize my experience leading global teams.

〇 I’m very excited about the opportunity.

これだけでも十分です。

特に面接では、自己紹介、志望動機、強み、実績、Behavioral Interviewなど、多くの情報を話します。

だからこそ最後に、

「私の一番の強みはこれです。」

と短く整理してあげることには意味があります。

私が面接官として特に良いと感じるのは、

新しい情報をたくさん追加する人ではなく、面接全体を短く整理して、自分のFitを最後にもう一度伝えられる人です。

そのためにも、

で整理してみてください。

最後に覚えてほしいこと → この仕事とのつながり → 前向きな気持ち
