Today’s idiom is “go the extra mile”.

今日のイディオム は“go the extra mile”でーす！

To “go the extra mile” means to make a special effort or try very hard

to achieve something.

To “go the extra mile”の意味は、与えられた仕事・目標などより、

更に良い内容になるように努力すること。

Examples of “go the extra mile”:　例

“She hopes to travel around the world and is willing to go the extra mile

at work to earn enough money.”

“彼女は、世界旅行が夢で、他の人一倍仕事して少しでも、給料を貰える様に頑張ってるみたい。”

“He is such a great employee.

He will always go the extra mile to help the customers at our shop.”

“いやー、彼は大したもんだねー。お客さんのためにいつも200％頑張ってるんだ！”

A: I think our relationship is falling apart. Sometimes we don’t talk enough.

A：　モ―彼ともダメかなー？最近あまり話しないんだよねー。

B: Communication is important.
