今日のイディオム は“broke”でーす！

“Broke” means to have no money.

“broke”の意味は、お金が尽きたこと。スっからピン。

** Be careful not to get it confused with the past tense of the verb “break”. It is not the same meaning.

**注意：“broke”　は　“break”の過去形ではなく、一単語だけでもイディオムです。

Examples of “broke”:　例

“I really want to go on holiday, but I’m so broke. I need to save more money.”

“あー、このままバケーション続けたーい！けど、もうすっからピン。もう少しお金何とかしなくちゃ。”

“She can’t go to the concert with us because she’s broke. Let’s buy her a ticket as a present!”

“すっからピンだから、彼女コンサートに行けないって。チケットプレゼントしてあげよーよ！”
