Today’s Word of the Day is very interesting because it is an abbreviation of a french phrase

“répondez s’il vous plaît” which translates to “please reply”.

意味：

For example:　例

“Ken’s sent out his birthday party invitations. I haven’t RSVP’d yet, have you?”

“ケンが誕生会パーティーの招待状を出してるんだけど。まだ返事してないんだ。返事した？”

“They asked us to RSVP by this Friday.”

“今週の金曜日までに招待状に返事するように言われた。”

A: Has Sandy sent an RSVP to the wedding yet?

A:　友達のサンディーは、結婚式の招待状への返事もう送ったのかな？

B: Yes! I received it this morning.

B:　うん、今朝届いたよ。

A: Did you get the invitation to John’s BBQ?

A:　ジョンのバーベキューパーティー招待状もらった？

B: Yes, I just got it. I’m RSVP’ing right now.

B:　もらったよ。今、返事しているところだよ。
