彼氏の文句、母親との英会話 “我慢する・こらえる”

今日のイディオム は to “put up with” でーす！

To “put up with” means to tolerate or accept unwillingly.

To “put up with” の意味は、我慢する・こらえる。

ー彼氏の文句、母親との英会話ー

A: I just can’t stand the way he acts around his friends!

It’s like he loses five years of maturity when he’s around them…

A: 彼の友達といるとき、彼の態度が全然違って、もーやだー!

余りにも子供っぽくなりすぎて…

B: But he’s a lovely boy, Natalie.

It’s common for people to act differently around their friends.

B: 彼は、なかなかいい子じゃない、ナタリー。

友達と一緒だったら、みんな変わるんじゃない。

A: I know but that doesn’t make it less annoying!

A: 分かるけどー、だからってー!

B: Well, sometimes you just need to put up with things like this

when you’re in a relationship.

B: そーねー、でも誰かと付き合っているときは、

我慢しなくちゃいけないことも時にはあるのよ。
